Introducing a new cat to a home or shelter the right way prevents lasting stress and conflict. I guide you through a slow, structured process, scent swapping, controlled introductions, and territory management, so every cat feels secure and lasting harmony becomes possible. Cats are territorial by nature, and a poorly managed introduction can create lasting stress, fear, or conflict between animals that could otherwise live together peacefully.

Paws & Pages

An Empathy & Animal Behavior Curriculum for Youth (Ages 6–18)

Paws & Pages teaches kids ages 6–18 to read animal behavior, build empathy, and understand what it means to care for another living being, blending real animal behavior science with reading, journaling, and storytelling. Along the way, kids build skills that last a lifetime: emotional regulation, responsibility, and reliability, plus the ability to see the world from another's perspective, human or animal.

 

For children who are neurodivergent, working with animals offers a calm, nonjudgmental way to practice reading nonverbal cues and managing emotions. And because kids who learn empathy toward animals show measurably lower rates of aggression and bullying toward peers, Paws & Pages isn't just about animals; it's early prevention for a kinder school and community.
